5. General Guidelines
1. Organization:
A. [IS] is run by the Guildmaster and various officers. Guildmaster and officer responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordinating guild events.
- Resolving issues between players.
- Membership management.
- Moderating the forum.
B. [IS] Ranks:
Harbinger
- Guild Leader.
Arbiter
- Guild Co-Leader.
Elder Luminary
- Officers holding responsibility within the guild.
Luminary
- Reserved those who have gone above and beyond to assist with the progression or administrative functions of the guild.
Elder
- Raider status. An Elder is a member who has recieved 150 lifetime DKP. Elders recieve loot priority in 10 mans and follow established DKP rules in 25 mans.
Adept
- KZ / heroic level gear. Once a recruit is eligible they may request a vote from the officers who will establish if they are competent enough to move into 25 mans. An adept is eligible to receive dkp, and to sign up for 25 man content. Adepts recieve loot priority over recruits.
Recruit
- New applicants to the guild or members who can attend up to raid basic content such as Kara but who would be a liability in higher content. You must be in at least enchanted and socketed dungeon blues to attend KZ.
Alt
- Alt characters.
Inactive
- Members who have not been on for a minimum of one month. After 4 months of inactivity you will be removed from the guild. The only thing you need to do to get moved back to Adept standing is be active again. If you are removed from the guild for inactivity, please just send a tell to an officer when you are active again, and you may be placed back at full membership.
2. Expectations:
A. What is expected of YOU.
- First and foremost – have fun!!! That’s why you are here.
- Input any suggestions to a guild officer or post in the forum.
- Be active in game and on our guild forums. This helps facilitate comraderie and communication within the guild.
- Helping identify quality players for recruitment is highly encouraged.
- Strive to improve your character and personal skill at all times.
B. What YOU can expect from us.
- First and foremost - friendship and fun!
- You can expect others to help you when you are in a bind or stuck.
- The opportunity to experience end game content with friends.
C. What NOT to expect:
- Do not expect guildmaters to stop what they are doing and help you at the drop of a hat; planning ahead helps the guild help you.
3. Loot Mechanics.
A. For 25 mans, we use a zero-sum DKP system that awards based on boss kills, bonuses, and incentives. First boss kills are awarded much more than normal boss kills - we strive to reward those who allow us to progress. For 10 mans, we roll /1000 and take rank into consideration. DKP can be viewed by clicking "DKP" at the top of the page.
B. Earning DKP.
1 DKP will be awarded for being on-time.
1 DKP will be awarded for every hour of raiding.
2 DKP will be awarded for every boss kill.
6 DKP will be awarded for every first boss kill. (incentive)v
1 DKP will be awarded for wipes at raid leaders discretion. (incentive)
1 DKP will be awarded for raid close.
C. Looting.
Looting will reset a members DKP to zero up to 150 DKP. Rank and /roll will determine the winner if multiple people with the same amount of DKP show interest in a drop. If an Elder and an Adept both want a drop and they both have 30DKP, the Elder will have priority. If two Elders want a drop and they both have 30DKP, they will /random 1000 to determine winner.
ie. If elder x has 155 DKP and elder z has 28 DKP loot will be awarded to elder x for 150 DKP. The next loot, elder z has 28 DKP elder d has 26 DKP the loot will be awarded to elder z for 28 DKP. If elder d has 26 DKP (lifetime of 300 DKP) and elder t has 26 DKP (lifetime of 250 DKP) the loot will be awarded to elder d.
D. Long-term Commitment Incentive.
At every 1000 lifetime DKP an elder can "call" an item. The priority will be first come first served. This called item will be awarded to said elder at no cost regardless of current DKP. Our goal with this incentive is to prevent the need for hoarding DKP and reward attendance.
ie. Max "calls" his sword. It is posted on the forum and everyone knows before we start that it is his, no matter what, if it drops.
E. Waitlist.
Adepts and above on the waitlist will receive on-time, raid close, hourly, and boss kill DKP. The waitlist members will not receive incentive DKP such as first time kills or wipes. Incentive DKP should be a big part of DKP received. This incentive covers the expense of wiping and consumables and rewards the people actually there and learning. Waitlisted members must be outside of the instance and prepared during the whole raid. You are required to whisper the raid leader when instructed in order to be on the wait list. If you fail to follow these instructions you will not be waitlisted. Playing an alt is acceptable once you are confirmed waitlisted.
4. Recruiting:
A. New members must apply for membership by posting in the Recruitment thread on the forum. They also need to read and understand [IS] charter and policy. You must register with your character name. Your application will automatically be deemed invalid if you fail to register with your character name.
B. Invectus Solidatus is only interested in quality players. This encompasses your personal skill, character progression, and ability to work well with guildmates. Please go elsewhere if you do not posess these qualities. Our current recruiting needs can be found at http://guild-is.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=167
5. General Guidelines:
- It is required that all members of [IS] act with consideration to each other.
- Members are expected to be open and honest in their dealings with other guild members. If you need help with item trading or other dealings in the guild, feel free to ask an officer for assistance.
- Cooperation is something we pride ourselves on and we wish this tradition to continue. It is not expected of higher level characters give up too much time to help the lower level characters out, however, help is always appreciated and reciprocated.
- There is no reason why trading for profit amongst Guild members cannot happen, but be fair about dealings with each other. Tradeskill items which can be made without a cooldown should be traded at cost; if the materials are supplied the item should be free. Members are encouraged, but certainly not obligated, to share looted items of relatively modest value (trade-goods, green items) for free.
- We are all human and we will, at some point, disagree with each other. All arguments should be handled discretely. This means no spamming /guild with insults, accusations etc. All arguments should be taking to private channels (email, PM's, /w, /p) as soon as possible. If you cannot resolve the issue privately, bring it the issue to an officer's attention.
- Officers have the final word in any dispute between Members.
